Marilyn Vanette Bynum-Wilson, 56, was called home on May 21, 2026. She was born on
September 21, 1969 in Dallas Texas to Mercury Van Bynum I and Vernedia Ann Clayton-Bynum.
Marilyn attended Carter High School and later went on to Graduate from Booker T. Washington
High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She later went on to be married to Terrance
Barnard Wilson, and together they brought two children into the world. Marilyn was an active
member in church and truly shined doing Gods work. Whether it be serving, singing, or cooking
for the masses. She was a family-oriented woman who would go above and beyond for her
loved ones, and anyone in need. Those who knew Marilyn will remember her for her beautiful
singing voice. Her absolutely loveable, charismatic and often funny personality. She had a way
of truly shining love and light on a person or circumstance. She was a God-fearing woman who
was warrior in prayer, and a true disciple of Christ Jesus.
Marilyn is survived by her two children, Tasia Vaughn Wilson (Daughter) and Terrance Barnard
Wilson II (Son). Her younger sister Chelsea Vaneese Bynum-McKellum and her younger brother
Pastor Mercury Van Bynum II. She was also a wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews,
and a treasure that will be missed by all of her other family members, and loved ones.
