It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Paul Ray Patton, who departed this life leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Born on July 21, 1957, in Cleveland, Mississippi, Paul was the beloved son of Jennet Lee Patton and Frederick Douglas Patton.
Paul grew up in Cleveland and was a proud member of The Class of 1975 at East Side High School. He carried the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life, exemplified by his ten years of faithful service as an employee at Walmart Super Center in Plano, Texas.
Paul’s life was filled with love for his family, and his memory will forever be treasured by those who knew him. He leaves behind his beloved children: Tekima Shunada Beamon (Debra Beamon) of Madison, MS, Amir Bashir (Khalliah) of Houston, TX, Cedrick (CJ) Jamal Patton (Rosemary Patton) of Plano, TX, and Paul Patton Jr. (Cyndi Tone) of Plano, TX. He was also a proud grandfather to Deja Sloan and Nyla Lemons of Madison, MS.
His siblings, Sharon Harris Wade (Hershey), and Roger W. Patton of Cleveland, MS, Douglas Patton of Memphis, TN, Carol Patton Lewis of Forest Park, GA, Lynn E. Patton of Cleveland, MS, and Frederick C. Patton of Columbus, MS, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, will continue to honor his life and legacy.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering dedication to his family, and the joy he brought to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him.
